6 or 12
Volt Automatic |

THE PROBLEM: You try to start your vehicle after it's been
sitting for a few weeks or months, and your
battery is completely dead.
THE SOLUTION: The Battery Butler® Storage Charger!
The Battery Butler® Battery Storage Chargers are specifically designed for the maintenance of batteries that are stored or only used periodically. We offer 2 different version of this charger: #BBFC100 (12 volt) and #BBFC200 (6 volt). These chargers will prevent the normal self-discharge of your battery, while extending the life of rechargeable 6 or 12 volt batteries rated from 5 to 125 amp-hours, by providing a minimum current, regulated output. Other types of chargers provide a strong, rapid charge that tend to boil out liquids and decay electrodes. With the Battery Butler® charger, once your battery has been fully charged, it will automatically shut-off; then resume charging as your battery level drops. Works on ALL wet cell, gel-cell or the new OPTIMA™ batteries. Works on ALL years, ALL make & model car, truck or motorcycle batteries. The Battery Butler® Battery Storage Chargers are specifically designed for long term use. You can safely leave it connected to your battery for days, weeks, months, even years! Did you know that every week your battery will lose 4% of its charge just by sitting (with no load)? Read about this and more Battery F.A.Q.s or the general F.A.Q.s. |

Battery
Butler® #BBFC100 (12 volt version) #BBFC200 ( 6 volt version) Battery Storage Float Chargers |
Conventional
Battery Chargers and Trickle Chargers |
||||
| Will
keep
your battery fully charged without over charging. The on-board microprocessor regulates the output voltage of the charger based on your battery's demands. |
Battery
must be monitored to avoid over- charging and boiling-out battery's internal electrolyte. This is because a trickle charger does not have the electronics to regulate its voltage based on your battery's demands. |
||||
| Designed
for long term vehicle storage. Hook it up to your battery. Plug it into any wall outlet, and forget it (days, weeks, months even years). |
If
left unmonitored, may over-charge and ruin your battery. |
||||
| Works
on ALL year, ALL make & model car, truck or motorcycle batteries! |
??? | ||||
| Provides
a safe, regulated minimum current charge (less than 1/2 amp) to your battery to maintain its peak capacity. Once your battery has fully charged, the charger's output current to your battery will stop - then resume as soon as battery level drops. |
Deliver
a strong, rapid charge that tends to boil-out battery liquids and decay battery electrodes. This is not good for any battery. Even a "trickle charger" is not designed for long term continuous use since it can not regulate its output voltage; and its amperage can be too high. |
||||
| Short-Circuit
Protected. If, for a brief moment, you accidentally touch the 2 leads of this charger together, it will not damage the charger's internal circuitry. |
??? | ||||
| Includes
simple to read status indicators: RED LED light indicates power to the module from AC outlet. GREEN LED light indicates battery being charged. On a good battery, the Green light will go out when battery is fully charged. |
Most
trickle chargers do not include a status indicator and conventional chargers use hard to understand meters. |
||||
| These
chargers are so sensitive to a drop in battery voltage that many times the green indicator light will appear to flash, as the module cycles on & off. |
Sensitivity
of this level can only be found on higher priced battery chargers. |
||||
| Designed
for use on wet-cell, gel-cell or OPTIMA™ batteries. Note: OPTIMA™ Batteries use AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) technology. These batteries can be charged at normal lead-acid regulated charging voltages. For more info. go to OPTIMAs website F.A.Q.. Not only will our Battery Butler™ chargers shut off when necessary, the output current is less than 1/2 amp so it's completely safe for use on OPTIMA™ batteries. |
May
not be recommended for use on batteries other than wet cell because of the fact that these chargers do not automatically turn on & off, and their output current is higher than 1 amp. |
||||
| Make
sure battery is vented. If you have a non-vented battery, remove call caps before charging. If battery is maintenance-free and non-fillable, it has vented slots. Make sure vents are clear and dirt free. |
same precautions as the Battery Butler's chargers.
|
Safe
for use on newer cars & trucks with computers and delicate electronics. On newer cars, when the engine is turned off, the electronics typically draw between 15-50ma (milliamp) from the battery. The Battery Butler® Storage Charger can easily, and safely replenish this draw with its 300-500ma output. |

The Battery Butler® BBLT100 is an easy-to-use battery tester for 6 & 12 volt lead acid batteries. This tester will not only check your battery's voltage (voltage tester), but will also checks the ability of your battery to start your vehicle (load tester), and check your vehicle's charging system output. |

|
Battery
Butler® BBLT100 Battery Load, Voltage & Charging System Tester Includes: |
Conventional Battery Testers |
| Tests
voltage on both 6 & 12 volt DC batteries. |
Some
automotive battery testers will only check voltage on 12 volt batteries. |
| Voltage
Tester - makes sure your battery
is properly charged to 13.5 volts (DC). Meter will check 0-16 volts DC. |
Similar voltage testing. |
| Load
Tester - In order to get an accurate diagnosis of your 12 volt battery's condition, a battery voltage test is not sufficient enough. You need to check your battery under a heavy load, such as the heavy load of a starter motor. This Battery Butler load tester allows you to test voltage and allows you to apply a brief (3 second) 100 amp load that simulates the high amperage load of starter motor. During this load test, the tester's gauge will display the amperage capacity of your battery. |
Some
battery "testers" only check battery voltage. They do not check the battery under load. There is no way to get an accurate representation of your battery's condition, and capacity to start your vehicle without applying a load test. |
| Charging
System Tester
- with your vehicle running, clamp tester onto your 12 volt battery. If the meter's needle is in the "OK" zone of the "Charging System" range, your generator/alternator is working and charging your battery. |
Some
battery testers do not check the charging system. |
|
To calculate the status of your battery
most accurately, the BBLT100 will allow you to compensate for battery temperature. This is important when testing your battery in cold weather conditions. |
Some
testers do not allow for temperature compensation |
| Also
features: - large, easy-to-read, color coded meter - non-sparking, heavy-duty rubber coated color coded clamps - heavy-duty cables - strong & lightweight steel housing with integrated clamp holders - carry handle - rubber feet - lightweight, less than 3 lbs. |

Battery
Butler® Battery Quick-Disconnects One simple device does it all! |
Verses the alternative.
|
Eliminates battery drain while vehicle is in storage. Disconnect battery from devices that continuously draw power from your battery. |
A vehicle in storage or not used for a prolonged period of time will drain your battery faster than if you disconnected your battery cable. This is because parasitic devices continuously draw power from your battery. Devices like: clock, radio display, computer, etc. Not to mention the interior lights that forgot to get turned off!
|
For safety when servicing your vehicle. - With battery cable disconnected, you can safely work on your vehicle without the worry of sparks or a short circuit. - Eliminates the chance of damaging expensive electrical or computerized equipment. |
If you work on your vehicle without disconnecting your battery, you run the risk of a short circuit, burning a wiring harness, the chance of damaging expensive electrical or computerized equipment or personal injury. Don't do it!
| As an
anti-theft device. - You can't start a car without battery power! - Inexpensive & reliable. |
A commercial alarm system is not only expensive, but expensive to install. And who really pays attention to those annoying, blaring alarms anyway?
|
Easy to install: 1. Remove the negative battery cable from your battery. 2. Install switch on the negative post of your battery. 3. Attach battery cable to the switch, and you are done! |
A commercial
alarm system can be difficult to install if you do it yourself. Or
expensive to install if you have someone else do it.
|
|
| Easy to
use. - Once installed, requires no tools to disconnect battery. - To engage power just hand-tighten the knob. - To disconnect battery power, slightly loosen the knob. - To discourage unauthorized use while vehicle is stored at home, parked, or when traveling, completely remove the knob (on BBDC101). |
Who wants to get out the tools, spend the time, and get dirty disconnecting their battery cable every time they park their car, work on their car, or put it in storage? Not only that, by continuously disconnecting your battery cable, you run the chance of damaging the soft-lead battery posts and cable clamps.
|
Heavy-Duty Rated: For 6-24 volt batteries, drawing up to 125 amps. NOTE: These battery disconnects are designed to be used with only 1 battery. Semi-trucks, some commercial equipment, or vehicles that use multiple batteries, will draw too much amperage through these disconnect switches and may cause them to fail. |
