Exact reproduction spark plug wire sets are manufactured to the original blueprint specifications, and are correct in every aspect: wire type & length, terminals, boots (shape, angle & color), factory script, & braiding (when applicable). Our Mopar reproduction sets are also date-coded. These reproduction sets are identical to the spark plug wires as they would have appeared on the vehicle when it shipped from the factory. For those of you concerned about having your car judged, our reproduction spark plug wire sets will pass all judging standards. They will look, fit and perform exactly as original.

AUTHENTIC EXACT
REPRODUCTIONS
THE CHRYSLER
METHOD OF In January 1961, Packard Electric began date coding spark plug wires for their own internal identification. The date coding identified the quarter and year in which the wires were produced. As an example, a wire date coded as 1-67 would have been produced in the first quarter of 1967. Research has shown that most cars had spark plug wires installed that were dated from 1 to 4 quarters prior to the build date of the car. This would validate that a vehicle having a spark plug wire set dated from 1 to 12 months prior to the build date of the car. Our sets are available using dating of First (1) and Third (3) quarter of each year starting in 1964. Second and fourth quarter dating is not available, nor are they necessary due to the acceptable variance in time between wire set production and the vehicle's build date, a spread of 1 to 12 months. A vehicle production run of a specified model actually began in September or October of the previous model year. Example: The first 1966 models actually left the assembly line in September or October of 1965. Keeping this in mind, you should determine when your car was manufactured and order the date code (year and quarter) for your spark plug wires accordingly. The chart to your right can be used as an aid in determining the correct wire set to order. |
