Description
ATO/ATC “standard” blade, Troubleshoot your electrical system, pinpoint electrical issues, and skip the hassle of replacing blown fuses. TECH NOTES:
Manual reset automotive circuit breakers are invaluable when diagnosing electrical issues because they give you full control over when power is restored after a fault.
NO NEED TO REPLACE FUSES:
Unlike traditional fuses, which must be replaced each time they blow, a manual reset breaker simply trips and can be reset with the push of a button (on top of the circuit breaker) once the problem is identified. This not only saves time and reduces the need to stock spare fuses but also prevents the risk of installing a higher-amp fuse that could damage wiring or components.
AUTOMATIC RESET vs MANUAL RESET CIRCUIT BREAKERS:
Compared to automatic reset breakers, manual reset versions are far superior for troubleshooting. They remain open after tripping rather than cycling on and off automatically, which avoids intermittent symptoms, arcing, overheating, or damage to wiring while testing. A tripped manual breaker keeps the circuit safely disabled until you intentionally restore power. After letting it cool for at least a minute, you can simply press the reset button to reuse it. The visible trip indicator also makes it easier to identify and address potential issues, providing a controlled environment to locate shorts, overloads, or faulty components without causing further damage.
