Shipping & Returns

How long before we ship?

99% of our Corvette and 1955-57 full-size Chevrolet wiring is in stock and ready to ship the same day of your order, or the following business day. Products for other vehicles are specially manufactured by our technicians for a specific year/make/model vehicle, and typically ship within 1 week to 10 business days.  This time can be slightly higher during our high demand season.

Back Orders

On occasion, due to high demand, we may be temporarily out of stock on a particular item. In the event that your order contains a non-stock or special order item, we will ship the items we have in stock, and ship the remainder of your order after the back ordered items have been manufactured (unless you inform us to ship your order complete).

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates will be calculated during checkout.  If you want to determine the shipping rate before placing your order you can do so.  Place the items in your cart, select the "View Full Cart" link under the "Checkout" drop-down on the top of the website, and enter your shipping destination and shipping method.

Shipping Options (Domestic)

Available shipping options are displayed during checkout.

UPS (Standard) Shipping: All in-stock items (typically, but not limited to Corvette, 1955-57 Chevy, and Battery Butler products) will be shipped, via the United Parcel Service, either the same day of your order, or the following business day. "Not-in-stock" or "special order" items will ship as soon as those items have been manufactured, typically 1 week to 10 business days.  This time can be slightly higher during our high demand season.

UPS (Express) Shipping:  In-stock items will be shipped express, via the United Parcel Service, either the same day of your order, or the following business day, depending on the time your order is received.  If express shipping has been selected for "not-in-stock" or "special order" items, we will be ship your order express as soon as those items have been manufactured, typically 1 week to 10 business days.  This time can be slightly higher during our high demand season.

UPS SurePost:  UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service. This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service.

USPS (No Rush Shipping):  If you are not in a rush to receive your order and would like a (typically) cheaper shipping method, we offer "USPS (No Rush Shipping)" via the U.S. Postal Service.  Note: This option is only available for orders weighing 1 lb. or less.  We only ship via this method one day per week. This means, if you place an order for an in-stock item on Monday, it might not ship until Friday of that week. 

Shipping Options (International)

We routinely ship to international customers - all over the world!  Available shipping options are displayed during checkout.

Need to ship to a different address?

Not a problem. We do not charge retail customers an additional fee to ship an order to an alternate address, within the contiguous USA. This is especially convenient for ordering items for a friend or having the parts shipped directly to your mechanic or restoration shop.

Return Policy

Subject to thorough inspection, items that have not been used, installed, or attempted to be installed may be returned within 90 days from the date of purchase.

Unlike most companies that sell electrical items and have a "no return" policy, we feel that our 90 days return policy is very generous.

To return a product that was purchased directly from Lectric Limited (and not one of our dealers):

  1. Obtain an R.M.A. (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from us. Returns without an R.M.A. number will not be accepted.  To obtain an R.M.A number, please call our Technical Department.
  2. Box your product. Returned items must be in new condition, not previously installed or attempted to be installed, and in the original packaging with nothing removed. Unused & un-installed items that are not wanted or were incorrectly ordered and returned to us, are subject to a 20% restock fee. Shipping, handling, insurance, and duty fees are non-refundable. If you purchased an item through one of our dealers, please make all claims through that dealer.
  3. Include a copy of the original invoice (receipt).
  4. For products purchased directly from Lectric Limited (not one of our dealers), ship all returns to Lectric Limited at:  Lectric Limited, Inc.,

  5. Upon receipt of your return, verification of required documentation, and thorough inspection, a credit will be issued to the credit card number processed with the original order, minus the amount of the restocking Fee. Shipping, handling, insurance, and duty fees are non-refundable.

NOTE: If you purchased your Lectric limited product through one of our dealers, please contact that dealer for instruction on how to make a return to that dealer.

Lectric Limited is not responsible for return shipping cost, duties on any returns or exchanges unless the fault was ours.  If the fault was ours, you can ask us for a shipping return label when you call us for the R.M.A. number.

Return Condition

  • All returns for a refund or exchange MUST NOT BE USED, INSTALLED, ATTEMPTED TO BE INSTALLED, OR DAMAGED.
  • All returns for a refund or exchange MUST have all tags attached.
  • All returns for a refund or exchange MUST have no missing components, parts, or documentation from the original product or its packaging.  We thoroughly inspect all returns.
  • All returns for a refund or exchange MUST be in the original packaging.

We recommend you use a shipping service with tracking and/or insurance, as this will provide you with evidence of the return, and date of the return in the event that your package is lost in transit. Without tracking, Lectric Limited is not responsible for lost or missing returns.

Damaged, Exchange, Defective, Shortage or Refund Items

Upon receipt of your shipment from Lectric Limited, please immediately inspect the contents. Call us within 48 hours of receiving your shipment so that we can resolve the problem regarding a discrepancy with your order (wrong product, damaged product, defective product, shortages, etc.) or discrepancies with the packing slip.

Damage - Shipping Related:
 Immediately report any shipping related damages to the carrier. Retain original box and all packing materials. Do not return items directly to us.

Damage - Not Shipping Related: 
Any shipment received that has been damaged but does not appear to be caused by the carrier, please call us directly within 48 hours of receiving your shipment.

Exchanges: If you need a different product than the one received, and you purchased your product directly from Lectric Limited (not through one of our dealers), please call us for an R.M.A. number. If the reason for the exchange is due to a fault of ours, there is no restock fee.  If not, there will be a 20% restock fee. If you purchased an item through one of our dealers, please make all exchange claims through that dealer.

Defective: If you think that a product you received is not working properly, please call us within 90 days so that we can resolve the issue.

Shortages: If you think you are missing a product from your order, please call us within 48 hours of receiving your shipment.

Refunds: Products that were purchased directly from Lectric Limited (not one of our dealers) can be returned for a refund if the product has never been installed (full or partial), not wanted, or was incorrectly ordered. Refunds are subject to a 20% restock fee. Shipping, handling, insurance, or duty fees are non-refundable. If you purchased an item through one of our dealers, please make all return claims through that dealer.
