TECH NOTES:

Our switch is manufactured per the original GM blueprint specifications and utilizes a 3/8"-24 Type "C" thread. Per GM specifications, our switch is designed to cut its own threads when installed into a .348" diameter non-threaded hole in the switch mounting/backing plate.

Our switch should easily fit, and screw into an original mounting/backing plate.

However, it has come to our attention that there my be problems when installing our switch into some (or all) of the currently reproduced mounting/backing plates. The reason is that these reproduction mounting/backing plates have a smaller hole size and are pre-threaded.
