TECH NOTES:
Over the years, the terminal, connector, and wire to the temperature sending unit may have been altered by a previous owner or mechanic. This was not uncommon. This alteration was most likely made in order to try different sending units when the "exact replacement" unit didn't work or was not available. After finding a sending unit that "worked", they would cut-off the original terminal & connector from their harness and splice-on the one that mated to their new sending unit.
With Lectric Limited's Temperature Sending Unit Lead Repair Kit you can repair or replace your temperature sending unit lead wire and get your wiring harness back to the way it originally looked and functioned.
This easy-to-install kit comes with pre-terminated wire, plastic connector, and tar-coated loom (sleeve) ready for you to splice into your existing wiring harness. Heat shrink and harness tape are not included but may be required. Non-adhesive vinyl harness tape available separately. (See "Repair Components" section)
